Genstar recently waterproofed the front porch walls and foundation, as well as the interior garage and boiler room of my mother’s home. They did an unbelievably efficient, thorough and professional job that resulted in all areas looking virtually brand new. Scott M. was on site and available at a moment’s notice and tended to every concern and detail that came up - both expected and unexpected. He and his crew, particularly his crew manager, Alex, were patient, thoughtful and kind to my mother and answered and addressed every question she and I had. On top of that, they did an amazing job on the waterproofing, demo and reinstall of the porch, garage and foundation areas at the cost they promised. Genstar Masonry recently did extensive masonry work on our home, transforming it from an ordinary looking backyard to an exquisite outdoor oasis! This included the demolition of old concrete around an inground pool, installation of new pavers, removing an old brick accent boarder around the front landscaping and replacing it with new pavers, installation of pet-friendly artificial turf, as well as a few miscellaneous items including repairs to the brick chimney and installing outdoor piping for a future sprinkler system. The crew was meticulous and was detail-oriented making sure to answer all questions and honoring our requests so that we would be extremely satisfied with their work. The owners were onsite daily to ensure that we were kept updated on the project. They also paid attention to our requests and/or questions so that we would be totally satisfied with the work they did. Since the job lasted many days, at the end of each day, the crew made sure to clean up before leaving. On the last day, they cleaned up every speck of dirt and debris leaving our property immaculate.We highly recommend Genstar Masonry to anyone in need of masonry work.

We just had our driveway redone by GenStar and couldn’t be happier. From day one, Scott impressed us with his vision and ideas, we knew we’d be in good hands. Tommy was on-site every day, answering all of our questions. The crew worked tirelessly through 90-degree heat and still took their time to do everything the right way — constantly measuring and discussing the best approach. We had a last-minute change and both Tommy and Scott were flexible. They even redirected two of our downspouts underground to improve drainage, which no one else had brought up when getting initial quotes. If I could give them 6 stars I would. From start to finish my project ran smoothly. The team was very communicative and they knew what I wanted and delivered it. Most importantly they cleaned up each day including sweeping the street. I would highly recommend this company for any concrete or paver needs. Pavers are Cambridge Montauk Blue.

I’ve used Genstar for 3 projects in my yard now, a pool patio, retaining wall and a new Trex deck with outdoor kitchen. They are professional, communicated every step of the project all the way through and were super responsive whenever I needed them. Genstar went above and beyond from start to finish. They discussed our vision for the project and carried it to fruition. Their patience and responsiveness in answering questions was unmatched. Each day, the owners were on site, making sure the job was progressing as planned. Genstar coordinated with their electrician, Adam, who produced reasonably priced, quality work as well. Genstar had the full job finished within one week and it looks amazing! Upon completion, the crew cleaned up and even power washed the street! The company owners completed a final walkthrough with the homeowner at the conclusion to ensure everything was to satisfaction. Having completed a full dormer in the past, we have worked with many companies. Trust us when we say that Genstar’s service and workmanship is unsurpassed. Genstar did a beautiful job updating our backyard with turf and a new paver walkway. They also installed new garden beds, complete with soaker lines. You never know what you're getting when it comes to hiring someone to do work around your house, but with Genstar you don't have to worry! We were nervous at first, but Scott and Mike walked us through the process, answered all our questions, gave us ideas/recommendations, and listened to our concerns. Their showroom is awesome and everything is paved with the different pavers so you can see what it would look like. The guys that came to do the work were hardworking and did everything so well. Christian showed me around when they were close to finishing and because I am very detailed oriented and a perfectionist, I pointed out little things and he would fix it for me with no problem. After they were done, they cleaned up EVERYTHING! They didn't want to leave a trace of dirt behind. They even power washed my front walkway that I have been dying to power wash (I didn't even ask them to) and the backyard is where I got the work done! Everything looks amazing. They got the job done right away. Their prices are fair and for the work they produce, it's worth it! You are in great hands with Scott, Mike, and their guys.

Genstar recently completed a backyard makeover for us. We were initially back and forth whether we should have the work done. Mike, Tommy and Scott came the first time to meet with me and immediately knew what needed to be done and knew what I wanted before I did. They came back a second time to meet with my husband and I together. My husband needed a little convincing, but they took care of that for me! We agreed on a start date and were told 2-3 weeks, which also included replumbing and relining the pool. Started even a little earlier than planned and demo, pool and brick installation was finished in 2 weeks.The crew showed up on time everyday and were the hardest working and happiest crew we’ve ever had. Mike, Scott and Tommy were available at any time of day or night no matter how ridiculous my questions/concerns may have been. We cannot say enough positive things about everyone at Genstar.

We recently had a pool installed and worked with Genstar for the masonry. Scott, Mike and the forman, Christian couldn’t be easier to work with! Every person who worked here over the last week/month (because they started the whole job with the pool dig) has been respectful of our property, our home and kept everything clean all while wearing a smile! We live on a hill which had a narrow entry to the yard (also, modified by them!) and there was a ton of manual labor that went into this project and we could not be happier! We are already thinking of what project they can take on for us next year. Highly recommend if you are looking for a company that is true to their word, prompt and pulled no surprises! As a customer, they took me out of the middle and checked in daily, I wouldn’t have picked anyone else! My pictures don’t even do it justice!

We used Genstar to put in a new patio and resurface our elevated cement deck. Everything went very smoothly. Scott and Mike listened to what we wanted to accomplish and provided a lot of suggestions to make it work. They worked out solutions for what we wanted and, if what we wanted didn’t make structural or aesthetic sense, they explained why and gave us options. They also suggested some things that we never thought that turned out great. They made the entire process go easy. They managed the sub contractors (who were all also good to work with), patiently showed us material options and made adjustments after the work started when needed. Scott, Mike and/or Tom were very often on site checking on things and were very accessible, which was comforting. On top of all that, the work they did was beautiful. Their workers like Alex had an attention to detail that we really appreciated. All-in-all we couldn’t be happier. We love our new backyard and we very much recommend Genstar.
